About Me

It is the supreme art of the educator to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.

-Albert Einstein

My name is Carla Greer, and I recently graduated from Texas Woman’s University  (TWU).  I received my EC – 4 Generalist degree on December 16, 2010.  Through TWU, I have participated in many teaching and learning experiences that include:  writing effective lesson plans and units, practicing classroom management skills, and enhancing and utilizing teacher collaboration.  I also have educational and leadership experiences in Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and children’s choir.   My passion is to help all students develop higher order thinking by teaching them lessons that encourage cognitive, affective, and psychomotor learning skills.  In my classroom, the focus will be on the students’ learning obtained through personal reflection of lessons taught, observation, and student assessment.  I am an enthusiastic teacher who believes I can  motivate students to learn and will use the tools necessary to help them develop to their fullest potential.
